owen o’reilly is scottish and irish, currently living in barcelona where he works as a supervisor in a fancy restaurant and survives mostly off caffeine, little sleep, and pretending he has his life together. he gives off the whole emotionally detached, hard to read thing at first, but in reality he’s embarrassingly sentimental and gets attached to people way too quickly. he avoids dating almost entirely and throws all of that energy into friendships instead, usually becoming way too loyal without meaning to.he’s the type to disappear for hours then randomly send somebody a three paragraph message because they sounded “off” earlier. constantly says he hates emotional conversations but somehow always ends up having them at 3am outside some café. tries very hard to seem nonchalant and mysterious until he starts rambling about horror movies, childhood nostalgia, or some oddly specific thing he suddenly cares deeply about for the next week. spends most nights wandering around the city after work, romanticising tiny moments, overthinking texts, and acting like he prefers being alone even though everybody around him knows he really doesn’t.
